🎼 Pieces Trainer
About the trainer
The trainer can parse MIDI files and automatically build a simplified sheet music representation from them.
Its main purpose is to help you navigate the piece while playing and track whether all the required notes have been played.
In edit mode, you can attach images of the original sheet music to the piece for correct visual display. Images can be pasted directly from the clipboard, e.g. as a screenshot.
In this case, the MIDI file acts as a technical layer that drives the piece's logic and keypress checking.
You can adjust the row width, the position of the technical layer relative to the original sheet music, as well as the number of measures per row and their visual size.
During play, only the loaded sheet music images are shown. The technical layer remains invisible and is used for navigating the piece, scrolling pages, and showing hints that help identify the current playing position and detect mistakes.
This approach lets you use real sheet music from any textbook or collection while keeping all the features of the interactive MIDI trainer.
